This indicates the amount of energy blocked by the material and is expressed as a percentage. 4kA and 7kA/4kA Our arc flash protective clothing is embroidered on the outside with "4 kA" or "7 kA/4 kA" so the wearer can tell straight away which version they have. "4 kA" means that this garment offers Electric Arc Flash protection class 1. "7 kA/4 kA" means that this garment offers Electric Arc Flash protection class 2 for the 2-ply parts (Front of jacket, sleeves and front of trousers).
